How we work

From brief to live.

No surprises at the end. You know up front what happens, what we hand over, and what we need from you at each step.

Timeline

A standard website goes live within two weeks.

With complex automation or integrations, expect three to four weeks.

  1. Intake

We start with the question behind the question: what has to change, for whom, and how will you know it worked. Scope and project type are fixed here, not halfway through.

    What you get
A written project profile: goal, audience, scope, and what falls outside it.
    What we need from you
Your goals, your audience in one sentence, and any material you already have.
  2. Direction

We gather references — yours and ours — and turn them into one chosen direction, so taste stops being a matter of opinion and becomes a decision.

    What you get
A moodboard with the chosen direction and the reasoning behind it.
    What we need from you
Examples that appeal to you, and just as usefully, what you dislike.
  3. Brand

The direction becomes a real identity: voice, colour, typography. Colours are checked against WCAG contrast requirements here, not repaired later.

    What you get
Brand identity, voice rules, and design tokens as the single source of truth.
    What we need from you
Your logo and existing brand material, plus a go-ahead on the direction.
  4. Structure

Which pages exist, how they relate, and what lives in the navigation. Structure follows how your visitor thinks, not how your company is organised.

    What you get
    Sitemap, navigation and URL scheme.
    What we need from you
A go-ahead on the page list.
  5. Content

Every page gets its text written against the voice rules, with search and AI findability built in per page rather than bolted on at the end.

    What you get
All page copy, optimised per page, ready to drop into the build.
    What we need from you
Factual information, product or service details, and photography.
  6. Design

The visual design per page and per component, including motion. Accessibility and loading speed are requirements here, not a wish list.

    What you get
A design spec covering every page and navigation state.
    What we need from you
    A go-ahead on the design.
  7. Build

The design becomes production code. We test against Core Web Vitals and accessibility while building, so nothing has to be unpicked afterwards.

    What you get
The built site, tested on performance, accessibility and mobile.
    What we need from you
Nothing — this part is ours.
  8. Integrations

Your site connects to what you already use: CRM, accounting, mail, payments, booking. This is where automation replaces the work you were doing by hand.

    What you get
Working connections to your existing systems.
    What we need from you
Access to the systems that need connecting.
  9. Live

We take the site live, set up measurement, and check that search engines and AI systems can actually read it.

    What you get
The live site, with analytics and an SEO check.
    What we need from you
    A go-ahead to launch.

And after launch?

A launch is a starting point, not a finish line. Marketing, content and growth are a separate track you can take or leave — we would rather you spend that budget when it makes sense than bundle it in by default.
